College Football Degens –

Here we go for one last ride before bowl season! I have worked all season to get my picks back to 0.500 and here we are at 42-42-1. So let’s pick some winners and end this thing a WINNER!

The Picks:

  1. USC vs Utah – This one makes me want to vomit! I don’t think I can watch it live and I’m not going to as I will be at the Travis Tritt concert at Choctaw Durant tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll catch the end as Utah scores a 2-pt conversion to win like they did back in SLC. Caleb Williams looks like the next Patrick Mahomes and he’s definitely got weapons all over the field. But the surprising thing this year is Alex Grinch’s defense is playing as he planned OU’s defense to play and coming up with a TON of turnovers. They have gotten 27 turnovers this year. USC’s turnover margin is +23!!! That is insane and it’s 9 better than 2nd place Duke. Usually TO margin has a way of evening out, so maybe Utah can get lucky and win the turnover battle. But I’m not counting on it and expect USC to cover the 2.5 points and I’ll be looking for the barf bucket about 10:30 PM…followed by the Craps table.
  2. TCU vs KSU – There will be a lot of purple in Arlington on Saturday. As surprising as this sounds, I’ll bet they’ll be more KSU purple than TCU purple. It’s a little hard to believe this is the first time in 19 years that KSU has been back to the Big 12 title game. And most of you know what happened in that game. So here’s where I think maybe TCU magic runs out. I hope not and think they should be in the CFP playoff anyway (like OU 2003!), but who knows with Ohio State and Bama lurking. It would be very 2014 if Ohio State jumps TCU on the last weekend. KSU +2.5 points
  3. Georgia vs LSU – Ok, that’s all the drama. These last 3 games really don’t have much juice. Georgia will get it done, but 17.5 points is a lot, so give me LSU and the points.
  4. Michigan vs Purdue – I guess Michigan was looking ahead 2 weeks ago when Illinois should have beat them. Because they have pretty much murdered everyone leading up to that and they certainly planted the flag on Ohio State! So give me Michigan -17.
  5. Clemson vs UNC – This isn’t even worthy of a comment. UNC +7.5.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last week of the regular season! Enjoy it!

The Picks:

  1. Baylor at Texas – Texas handled their Kansas problem, but do they keep it going against Baylor? Just seems like too many points! Baylor +8.5
  2. Michigan at Ohio State – Taking Michigan and the points and hope they can keep in close!
  3. Oregon at Oregon State – It’s civil war! This should be a really fun game and hopefully the Ducks can put out a close one, but I’m taking the Beavs +3.5
  4. Notre Dame at USC – As much as I hope Notre Dame can beat USC, I just don’t see it. Hopefully the Ducks will take care of them next weekend. USC -5.5
  5. Oklahoma at Texas Tech – It’s gonna be raining tortillas, D batteries and maybe Turkey legs in Lubbock. Nothing is new there. At least we catch this game with most of the students out for Thanksgiving! Boomer Sooner -2

Week 12

College Football Degens –

It’s week 12 and it’s finally the Pac-12’s weekend to take center stage. They have the ONLY two matchups of ranked-on-ranked teams. What a strange league the Pac-12 is this year. They have 6 ranked teams right now. Wazzu is next and they are ok at 6-4. But, then the bottom 5 falls over a cliff and have been awful most of the season. Arizona is improving and somehow beat UCLA last weekend. Largely, USC has been feasting on the bottom of the Pac-12. Their only win over a top-25 team was a 17-14 win in week 4 vs Oregon State.

The picks:

  1. TCU at Baylor – Wow, vegas still has love for Baylor or major disrespect for TCU. You’ll only need one TV for the 11 am kicks. This is the only one worth watching. TCU -2.5
  2. Kansas State at WVU – OU was favored by 8 last week at WVU. Kansas State won’t beat themselves unlike the Sooners. KSU -7.5
  3. Texas at Kansas – This may be the best game in the 2:30 timeslot! Will a little known Kansas player end up with an NIL deal after this one? Kansas +9 and Over 63.5
  4. Tennessee at South Carolina – What a season for the Vols and what a strange year for Spencer Rattler. I still have a signed OU Spencer Rattler mini-helmet. He’s now 98th in the country in QBR with 8 TDs and 9 picks on the season. Will we see OU vs South Carolina in the Liberty Bowl? Tenn -21.5
  5. Oklahoma State at Oklahoma – Well at least Vegas loves the Sooners. This will be the 10th game that they have been favored this season. Dogs only to Texas. Current record against the spread 3-7. What the hell…OU -7.5! Vegas can’t be wrong all the time!
  6. USC at UCLA – The word is that they have removed the tarps in the Rose Bowl and they expect a sellout. That may be dangerous as there could be more USC fans than UCLA fans. Let’s go Bruins +2.5
  7. Utah at Oregon – Another big time Pac-12 game. I think Oregon bounces back here. Ducks -3

Week 11

College Football Degenerates –

And down the stretch we come! Disappointing loss for Tennessee last weekend, but I still believe the Heup and I think they get in the CFP if they win out against 3 mediocre SEC teams. Georgia..punch that ticket. Ohio State & Michigan are full steam ahead to meet at 11-0. Winner in and loser out (but maybe not). Can TCU win out? That’s what it will take for them to get in. 12-1 Pac-12 champ? Maybe. 12-1 ACC Champ? It’s hard to see. I hope it’s a trainwreck in the end and we’re all saying bring on the 12-team playoff!

The Picks:

  1. Oklahoma at WVU – Terrible season so far for WVU, but they are much better at home. I not touching OU -8, but one thing you can usually count on with this matchup in Morgantown is points. Matchup between the two worst defenses in the Big 12 and damn near the nation (OU is 110th and WVU is 109th). So slight edge to WVU on defense. Big advantage OU offense. OVER 69
  2. Mizzou at Tennessee – Mizzou has been playing everyone tight in the SEC including losing to Georgia by 4. But the points have been flowing for Tennessee in Knoxville. Vols -20.5
  3. LSU at Arkansas – These teams are going in opposite directions. But it’s hard to get up for every game and especially after big win against Bama. Woo Pig +4
  4. Louisville at Clemson – Is Clemson going to storm the field again if they win at home? I don’t think they’ll have a chance. I’m rolling with red-hot Louisville +7
  5. KSU at Baylor – I’m not sure why KSU is ranked and Baylor is not. KSU might have peaked early and Baylor is getting on track. Baylor -2.5
  6. TCU at Texas – I feel like TCU has been living on borrowed time and I think time’s up this weekend. You think Gary Patterson may have a few ideas how to slow down TCU? Texas -7

Week 10

College Football Degens –

It’s week 10 and we have CFP rankings! The rankings are a little fishy, but this usually works itself out. Still, I’m ready for the 12-team CFP. So, three sets of rankings on the cheatsheet as follows for ranked teams (CFP, AP, Coaches).

The Picks:

  1. Florida at Texas A&M – Is this the week for Texas A&M? Looks like they found a QB to sling it around. Aggies -3.5.
  2. Texas Tech at TCU – I picked against TCU last weekend and they burned me bad in the final seconds! Tech is back to being the Red Faiders. Frogs -8.5
  3. Baylor at OU – Both teams are disappointing but playing better. I think this is gonna be really close, but I can’t pick against the Sooners. No pick!
  4. OSU at Kansas – It really sounds like Spencer Sanders is banged up. At least Vegas thinks so. The game is now a pick’em. Maybe Jalen Daniels is back for KU and they are hungry for a bowl bid. Jayhawks pick’em
  5. Tennessee at Georgia – This just seems like a magical season for Tennessee and Josh Heupel. I can’t pick against them at this point, especially with Tennessee getting 8 points. Vols +8
  6. Alabama at LSU – If Bama is Bama this year, it’s time for them to show it. Death Valley at night? Crazy. Insane. Fans blowing a 0.20! Perfect setting for an upset. Give me Liquor State +13.5
  7. Texas at Kansas State – Texas used to have problems in Manhattan, but not recently. Vegas is just begging you to take Kansas State after last week, so I’ll take Texas -2.5
  8. Clemson at Notre Dame – Could be an upset but I trust Clemson’s defense to get the job done vs a poor ND offense. Clemson -3.5

Week 9

College Football Degens –

Oh, it’s good to be in Vegas for a football weekend! So, you get the bonus of the moneyline on the picksheet this week and I’m looking for some moneyline plays!

The picks:

1) OU at Iowa State – 87 games in this series, OU leads 78-7-2 and OU has NEVER been a betting dog! That may change by kickoff…it’s currently a pick’em on the board here at Circa. ISU has the best defense and the worst offense in the big 12! Loading up on the Sooners!

2) Ohio State at Penn State – Penn State is usually pretty competitive in this game but rarely wins. Not sure if they can keep it within 15.5, but OVER 60.5 seems like a winner.

3) TCU at WVU – Is TCU really going to go undefeated? WVU always plays tough at home. I don’t think they’re gonna be burning couches in Morgantown, but I like WVU +7.5

4) Oklahoma State at Kansas State – I have no idea who’s playing in this game for Kansas State. So not going to pick the line, but I think both teams will put up some points, so OVER 56.

5) Kentucky at Tennessee – Can Tennessee keep this train going? Are they overlooking UK in advance of Georgia next week? I feel like UK’s QB and defense would give them a chance but looking back at their 5-2 start this year nothing really impresses me. Tennessee -12.

6) Baylor at Texas Tech – It will be raining tortillas and D-batteries in Lubbock this weekend. Joey McGuire has this thing going…at least in Lubbock. Tech -2

College Football Fans –

That was one hell of a week 7! Sooners win, Vols win, close games everywhere. Also, started out the day 5-0 on picks, but lost the last 3. Still, I will take it. Pretty good week here with 5 ranked vs ranked matchups. A lot of mediocre teams in the NFL right now. Only 2 matchups of teams with winning records this weekend.

The big ones:

  1. Syracuse at Clemson – Feel like Clemson is starting to get rolling here. It’s hard to see a loss the rest of the regular season here. Dabo -13.5
  2. UCLA at Oregon – Chip Kelly has UCLA playing some ball behind 7th year QB DTR but very few people in So Cal care. They have played five home games so far with a average attendance of 34K in the Rose Bowl (38% full). In fact, the most people to see UCLA play this year was their only road game in Colorado (42K fans). This will be totally new experience for UCLA to hear crowd noise. And here it they will as they welcome Chip Kelly back! Oregon is one of the 3 louded college football environments I have visited (Tennessee and Texas A&M are the other 2). Oregon started off terrible but have righted the ship. Autzen will overwhelm UCLA and Oregon covers the 6 points!
  3. Texas at Oklahoma State – Texas did almost the most texas thing ever last week and lost to Iowa St at home. But they didn’t and this appears to be a pretty good texas team. I think texas wins this game, but it gets pretty loud at the home of the 1945 national champions, so I’ll take OSU and the 6.5 points.
  4. Miss State at Alabama – How pissed off was Nick Saban this week? Miss State seems like the perfect team to be rolling into Tuscaloosa right now. I’ll take Lord Saban -21 to sink the pirate ship.
  5. Kansas State at TCU – Two more 7-yr QBs here proving experience does matter. KSU is the last team in the FBS not to throw a pick. We’re talking about Adrian Martinez here…WOW! TCU other than a sleepy first half vs OSU last week has been very impressive on offense. TCU -3.5

Week 7

Fellow College Football Degens,

Well, it took me a while to be revived after last weekend at the Cotton Bowl, but back and ready to roll through the back half of the season! What a weekend it is indeed on paper: 6 ranked vs ranked matchups. 3 undefeated power 5 conference matchups!

The big ones:

  1. Kansas at Oklahoma – The ranked team in this matchup is not favored by 9 points. OU is putting a 17-game winning streak in this series on the line. The last KU win was 1997. All indications are that #8 is back, otherwise this line has to be 9 the other way right (or much higher). I can’t pick OU to win by double digits and I don’t pick against OU, but I feel like we need 50 to win, so I’m going with the over 62.5.
  2. Penn State at Michigan – The wolverines usually always win at home, and I think they’ll cover the 7.
  3. Alabama at Tennessee – Nick Saban is 15-0 against Tennessee. My daughter said Knoxville might burn if they win this game. I think it will burn either way. Does Brice Young play? I like the Vols +7 and the over in this one.
  4. NC State at Syracuse – Syracuse has played a pillow-soft schedule to this point, but hey they are undefeated. Plus, NC State’s QB is banged up. Syracuse -3.5
  5. Oklahoma St at TCU – I think we have a couple of great offenses and a couple of suspect defenses…Big 12 football as it was destined to be played. Over 68.5
  6. Miss State at Kentucky – Mike Leach has the Miss State pirate ship firing all cannons right now and UK’s ship seems to be sinking! Give me More Cowbell -4
  7. USC at Utah – Speaking of soft, this USC schedule has been charmin soft. We will see if they are for real in Rice-Eccles. Utah has been disappointing on the road so far, but they are a different team at home. So far in his career, Caleb Williams has struggled on the road. Yeah, I hope that continues Saturday night. Utah -3.5
  8. Bonus Pick (Dallas at Philly) – How can you not take Dallas they way this defense is playing. Hey, I love Jalen Hurts, but I think the Dallas D will get some pressure on him and cause him to make some mistakes. Dallas +6.5

Week 6

College Football Lovers –

What a terrible early Saturday morning it was in Fort Worth last weekend. Every time I started thinking it couldn’t get any worse, IT DID! Kinda like my picks last week going 3-7. We just have to bury week 5 and move on!

I’ve got to say, I haven’t really analyzed any of the games this week because I spent Monday-Wednesday at Globe Life Field. It was a fun time sitting in left field all 4 games waiting for the opportunity to drop home run #62 that never came. This was probably my 15th visit to the new park, but really the first time I’ve explored the whole park, and I’ve got to say, what a hell of a setup. I moved Globe Life Park up from #9 to #2 in my rankings (Fenway is still #1). The all you can eat section in lower left field is fantastic. Also, I’m certainly going to catch a couple of games from the rocking chairs in front of Karbach Brewery (sections 202-204 row 14) next year.

On to college football, and even though this is a good schedule this week, there’s really only one game this week as far as I’m concerned. As they say, throw out the records, anything can happen in this game. Although that usually applies to Texas, not OU. OU has been favored 13 straight games back to 2009, which was actually the last year we had a good defense. This time it’s Texas -9.5 and if anyone other than #8 trots out on the field for OU at QB I’m not sure how OU keeps this out of double-digit territory. Not that I have a lot of confidence in 8, but after him is a steep cliff.

Now on to the important stuff: Corn Dogs (with mustard not ketchup), waxy Cup Beers, the Love Bug, Pirate Ship, Fried Grilled Cheese…all starting at 7:30 am. This will be OU-Texas (at the Cotton Bowl) number 40 for me. I’ve been to every game since Marcus Deupree took one to the house in 1982, except one…1996. That was the last “anything could happen” big OU underdog (Texas -14) win in the series. Could there be another one?

See you at the Pirate Ship at 8am!

  1. Tulane at Houston – What the hell has happened to Houston? Does Dana Holgerson coach from the craps table in Lake Charles? Tulane +2.5
  2. UW at UCLA – I really don’t know what to make of UCLA. They have played absolutely nobody in front of a crowd of no one at the Rose Bowl. Will there be more dawgs there? UW -3
  3. Kentucky at Ole Miss – I usually like higher ranked SEC teams that are getting a TD. UK +7
  4. Oklahoma at TCU – OU has been favored over KSU by double digits the last 6 years (1 OU cover and 3 KSU wins straight up). History I ignored last week. OU has covered in 6 of the last 7 vs TCU. The OU _efense is not to be trusted until further notice, but we should be able to cover this on offense alone. OU -6.5
  5. Texas Tech at Kansas State – Well we saw what the KSU A-game looks like last week. They probably don’t deliver that, but the Red Faiders were lucky Texas seems to still be choke-worthy. KSU -8
  6. Alabama at Arkansas – The hogs have to be pissed after last week and come out on fire. Once again 17 points is a lot for an SEC road team even if it is Alabama. Arkansas +17
  7. Oklahoma State at Baylor – Baylor has already had some top-notch competition and OSU has been playing East Popcorn State. Baylor -2
  8. Indiana at Nebraska – How is Nebraska favored? Also, Nebraska fans need to end that sellout streak. There will continue to be no booze in the stadium as long as the misery and the sellouts continue. I don’t know what’s the bigger joke…the football team or the only stadium in American where you can’t have a beer. Indiana +5
  9. NC State at Clemson – I guess someone has to be #5. NC State could be #5 after this one. NC State +6.5
  10. OU QB Bowl – I might have to go to CLT for the OU QB Bowl! But both of these teams look pretty miserable save Kyler’s magic vs the 0-3 Raiders. Carolina sucks less. Carolina -1.5

Week 4: 3-5 (+WVU, -Duke, +TCU, -Tenn, -Texas, -OU, +Ore St)
Week 3:
3-4 (-Chargers, +ODU, -BYU, +Troy, +Kansas, -UTSA, -Miami)
Week 2:
2-6 (-Bama, +Tenn, -Tenn Over, -Florida, -OU, +USC over, -OK St Over, -Baylor)
Week 1:
7-2 (+Tenn Over, +Ark, -Ducks, +OU, +OU Over, +USC, +USC Over, -Utah, +FSU)
Week 0: no picks

Week 4

College Football Fanatics –

We’re starting to heat up now with conference play taking over for the most part this week. No super spectacular matchups, but a lot of really good games:

  1. WVU at Va Tech – This s fun game for Thursday night. “Enter Sandman” has got to be good for at least 3 points for Va Tech, but in the end, I think WVU is better. WVU -2.5
  2. Duke at Kansas – Is basketball season starting early? Hey, thanks Kansas for cashing my over 2.5-win total for the season last week. But at some point, I think too much success when you are not used to it promotes overconfidence. Duke +7.5
  3. TCU at SMU – Pains me to pick against my alma mater, but I like cashing winners and TCU didn’t hire Sonny Cumbie to lose to his old team. TCU -2
  4. Florida at Tennessee – Knoxville will be on fire with Gameday rolling in town and my daughter plans to be right in the middle of it, camping out the night before to try to get on the front row! That’s my girl! This was one of the best games of the late 90’s, early 2000’s, but Florida has owned this series since winning 16 of the last 17. Big advantage at QB to Tennessee with Hendon Hooker getting much more out of his 7 years of college than John Blutarsky did. Of course, the latter ended up a US Senator. Tennessee -10.5
  5. Texas at Texas Tech – It usually rains tortillas and D batteries in Lubbock, but Texas seems to own this series: Texas -6.5
  6. Arkansas vs Texas A&M (Jerryworld) – This will be a bar room brawl! I really have no feel in this one. Guess I’ll just watch and enjoy the defense and ground game.
  7. Kansas State at Oklahoma – I think it helps the BV is a K-State guy and the 2020 game is still fresh in some of the player’s minds so I don’t see OU overlooking K-State. I can’t wait to see the light show and I want to see it a lot! Boomer Sooner -12.5
  8. USC at Oregon State – It’s on late and on the Pac-12 network so it’s gonna be hard to watch, but a step up in competition for USC. That Alex Grinch defense has been very opportunistic so far getting 10 turnovers in 3 games. But as is usually the case with “speed D”, teams are going up and down the field on them and USC is 82nd in total defense. The beavers keep this close +6.5

BOOMER SOONER!

Week 3: 3-4 (-Chargers, +ODU, -BYU, +Troy, +Kansas, -UTSA, -Miami)

Week 1:
7-2 (+Tenn Over, +Ark, -Ducks, +OU, +OU Over, +USC, +USC Over, -Utah, +FSU)

Week 3

College Football Lovers –

Another beautiful weekend of football is at hand! What is not beautiful is last week’s picks…2-6. We’re gonna get a little more selective this weekend and find some winners!

The big games and a few non-marque games with the right picks:

  1. Chargers at KC – What a way to Thursday night kickoff football on Amazon Prime! Chargers +4
  2. OU at Nebraska – I have no idea what to expect from this game. Fox Big Noon Kickoff and game broadcast in 4K. I wish Scott Frost would have stuck around another week and I think this would have been much easier to predict. NU has been good on offense, but on defense they can’t stop the run, rush the passer, tackle or cover. That’s a bad combination! So, no pick on this one for me but very excited to be back in Lincoln for OU-Nebraska for the first time since 2001.
  3. ODU vs Virginia – Virginia scored 3 points against Illinois last weekend. ODU beat Va Tech in week 1. ODU could be Virginia state champs. ODU +8.5
  4. BYU at Oregon – BYU could make a run this year with the schedule that they have. This is probably the biggest hurdle. BYU +3.5
  5. Troy at App State – Big win vs. A&M, gameday in town…I’m playing the letdown card here. Troy +12.5
  6. Kansas at Houston – After seeing Kansas in person vs OU last year, I bought into Lance Leipold turning this disaster around. I might be able to cash my Kansas over 2.5 wins ticket after Week 3! Kansas +9
  7. UTSA at Texas – A lot of back slapping and high fiving down at Austin after a loss last week. Hey, I’ll give it to longhorn nation, they looked great last week and even the wine and cheese crowd at DKR was loud. But this is where you have to be careful that Alabama doesn’t beat you 2 weeks in a row. It’s a mental and physical grind including knocking out Joe Dirt and reducing Hudson Card to one good wheel. UTSA +12.5
  8. Miami at Texas A&M – Aggies what are you doing? What a painful offense to watch. Miami has the better QB so I will take the points! Miami +5.5

BOOMER SOONER and BEAT NEBRASKA!

Wes

Last Week ATS: 2-6
Year to Date ATS: 9-8

BOOMER SOONER, BEAT NEBRASKA!

Week 2: 2-6 (-Bama, +Tenn, -Tenn Over, -Florida, -OU, +USC over, -OK St Over, -Baylor)
Week 1:
7 – 2 (+Tenn Over, +Ark, -Ducks, +OU, +OU Over, +USC, +USC Over, -Utah, +FSU)
Week 0: no picks

Week 2

College Football Degens –

Week 2 is here and we have just enough information to be dangerous!  I went 7-2 with my picks last week, so I’m dangerous and overconfident.  Let’s pick more winners!

  1. Buffalo at LA Rams – OK let me get this straight, the Rams won the SuperBowl in the last real NFL game and now they’re 2.5-point dogs at home?  Nice try Vegas, I’m staying away!
  2. Alabama at Texas – Texas is NOT back this week.  Nick Saban lives to crush souls and especially those of former assistants.  That Bama D will make Quinn Ewers look like Joe Dirt…wait he already does.Bama -20
  3. Tennessee at Pittsburgh – Pitt is ranked six spots ahead of Tennessee, yet they’re a 6-point dog at home.  Vegas is king, not the pollsters.  Pitt is not quite shit, but I’ll take Tenn to cover and the over 67.
  4. Kentucky at Florida – Maybe Dan Mullen did leave some talent at Florida.  Anthony Richardson looks like the real deal and Florida will cover the 6-point spread in the swamp.
  5. Kent State at Oklahoma – I think normally this would be a little bit of a step-back not cover game with Nebraska up next, but I think BV, the staff, and these players have a real desire to improve on last week so give me OU-33.5.
  6. USC at Stanford – Damn I would like to see David Shaw kick Muleshoe’s ass and give him a proper welcome to the Pac-12.  But that’s wishful thinking.  Both offenses will score a lot, so I’m taking the over 67.5.
  7. Arizona State at Oklahoma State – OSU wins this game and probably covers against a mediocre Pac-12 team but I like the over 57 as my bet here.
  8. Baylor at BYU – I get it that BYU has 25-year old grown men playing CFB, but Baylor has some physical dudes on both lines.  Plus, they always find speedy skill players so give me Baylor +3 and a 6-pack of Red Bull so I can stay up and watch this.
  9. Cleveland at Carolina – I so want to see Baker and the Panthers punish my new most hated NFL team…the Cleveland Creepers.  Look for something to mark the occasion on faceback tonight.
  10. KC at Arizona – Mahomes vs Murray…ALL IN!

Last Week ATS = 7-2

Week 1

College football friends –

Week 1 is finally really here and I’m gonna have my cake and eat it too this weekend. I’m in Knoxville right now with my daughter for the Tennessee opener tonight and will make my way to Oklahoma for the Sooners opener on Saturday!

Let’s get to the winners:

  1. Ball State at Tennessee – Sooner great Josh Heupel had this offense humming last year and it’s keeps rolling tonight. They might score 68 by themselves. But that UT defense is a little shaky so Ball State will get a few scores too. This is going way over the 68!
  2. Cincy at Arkansas – Cincy was a great story last year, but they lost a lot of dudes. Arkansas is a physical SEC team. They are gonna run the ball down Cincy’s throat and cover the 6.5 points
  3. Oregon vs Georgia (in Atlanta) – If there’s anyone that knows how to play Georgia it’s Dan Lanning. He’s gonna slow this game down and run the ball. I’m going with the Ducks here and taking the 17 points. Also going with the under 52 here.
  4. UTEP at Oklahoma – Historically OU always hangs a half a hundred on UTEP in Norman. I don’t see any reason not to give 30.5 points and take the over 57!
  5. Rice at USC – I feel sorry for Rice this weekend. Seriously why are they still playing D1 football? When was the last time they had any level of sucess? TBOW and Caleb Williams will want to make a statement and keep the LA crowd interested. This will be an easy 32.5 cover and take the over 61.5 too!
  6. Utah at Florida – Perfect timing for Utah catching Florida in Billy Napier’s first game. This should be the game of the weekend! I’m gonna take Utah -3
  7. Notre Dame at Ohio State – #2 vs #5 and #2 is favored by 17.5! I’m not touching this one. I have no idea.
  8. FSU vs LSU (in NOLA) – This is a juicy Sundy night affair! This will be an LSU home game. But I like that Florida State has played a game and this will be LSU’s first game under Brian Kelly. I’m taking FSU +3.

Have a great weekend and BOOMER SOONER!

Week 0

College Football Lovers –

We are back! Wow so much happened last offseason…

  1. My two most hated teams are now the USC Trojans and Cleveland Browns
  2. Gonna have a burn party for my Cleveland Brows stuff before the NFL season (check facebook in about a week)
  3. USC and UCLA to the Big 10 – UW and Oregon how you guys feeling?
  4. Mike Gundy is obviously pushing to end Bedlam. I want to see it continue and can’t imagine the Cowboys can give up those $ and not play that game. How you feeling Cowboys fans?
  5. USC and Texas are the only teams with a losing record from last year to be ranked in the preseason top 25. Well, that’s normal. Is TEXAS BACK?
  6. Final 4 – Give me Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and Utah
  7. Why does Nebraska want to risk losing in week 0 for a 2nd straight year?

I’m so fired up for FOOTBALL! Let’s GO!
